Visual Arts Center of NJ’s Art Camp
The Visual Arts Center has decades of experience running summer art camps and is excited to partner with The Pingry School for a second year. During the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey’s Art Camp, kids in rising grades 1-8 will learn from talented teaching artists, make amazing projects, develop art skills, and meet new friends in the studio. Each session for kids features a variety of media, which may include painting, drawing, sculpture, and/or mixed media, while tween sessions (rising grades 6-8) take a deeper dive into the media of the week. On Fridays, friends and family are invited to celebrate the young artists’ creations at a culminating art exhibition in the Hostetter Arts Wing.
The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, in Summit, provides multiple pathways for people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to participate in the arts. The award-winning Studio School is open seven days a week and offers studio art classes for all ages. The exhibition galleries showcase world-class contemporary art exhibitions and host educational programming throughout the year. The Art Center leads an impressive number of community partnerships and our programs reach across the state, making the arts an even greater part of New Jersey’s story.
