International Ivy – Environmental Science/Conservation
Camp at a Glance
Future environmental leaders will explore today’s most pressing environmental issues, like climate change, pollution, deforestation, loss of biodiversity, water scarcity, and research policies and actions being taken to address these issues. Similar to biologist and ecologists, students will collect samples of soil and water and analyze basic composition, acidity pH, pollution levels and nutrient content. Students will also study LEED guidelines, the nationally recognized standards for sustainable construction, to evaluate local and famous buildings and design a sustainable building project on their own.
